Flooring That's Better for Your Home and the Planet
At RMD Flooring, we believe quality and sustainability go hand in hand. We only work with manufacturers who take their environmental responsibilities seriously, so you can choose beautiful flooring with a clear conscience.
Making Sustainable Choices Without Compromising on Style
Choosing new flooring is a significant investment, and increasingly, our customers want to know that the investment is a responsible one. That’s why we’ve carefully selected manufacturers who share our commitment to doing things the right way. Sourcing responsibly, reducing emissions, eliminating unnecessary chemicals and designing products built to last.
From PVC-free luxury vinyl to fully recyclable design flooring, the products we install are kinder to indoor air quality, kinder to the environment and kinder to future generations. We’ll always help you find the right option for your space, whether sustainability is your primary concern or simply a welcome bonus.

Why Eco-Friendly Flooring Matters
Flooring covers every square foot of your home or business, so the materials you choose have a real impact on your indoor air quality, on the environment during manufacture, and on what happens to the product at the end of its life.
Many conventional flooring products contain PVC, plasticizers and chemical additives that can off-gas into the home over time. The products in our eco-friendly range have moved beyond this: lower emissions, cleaner materials and production processes designed with the full product lifecycle in mind.
- Better indoor air quality - low-emission products certified safe for the home
- PVC-free options that use naturally elastic, recyclable base materials
- Products designed to be recycled at end of life rather than sent to landfill
- Manufacturers working towards closed-loop production and reduced carbon footprints
- Durable, long-lasting products that reduce the need for early replacement
What Does Eco-Friendly Flooring Look Like in Practice?
Sustainable flooring doesn’t mean compromising on looks. The products in our eco-friendly range are available in the same stunning designs, patterns and finishes as our wider collection, from classic herringbone to contemporary straight-lay planks, in hundreds of colourways and textures.
When you visit us or request a sample, we’ll flag which products carry eco certifications so you can make an informed choice. We’re happy to talk through the options and help you find something that works for your space, your budget and your values.
- Eco options available across LVT, vinyl tiles, click flooring and more
